Brewed at the foot of the Matterhorn Zermatt Beer
The idea of a brewery in Zermatt is almost as old as the village itself. There was still a long way to go before opening the brewery in 2015.
Since the turn of the millennium, more emphasis has been placed on beer diversity and regionalism in Switzerland. During this time, the small village of Zermatt also found the courage to implement the idea of having its own brewery.
After lots of planning and thanks to the generous support of an investor, the Zermatt Matterhorn Brewery AG was opened on 11th June 2015 for the 150th anniversary of the first-time ascent of the Matterhorn. Since then, Zermatt has not only stood for a unique leisure experience, but also for first-class beers that guarantee a refreshing treat.
